Gopeng
Gua Tempurung
Gua Tempurung is a cave in Gopeng, Perak, Malaysia. It is popular among spelunkers, or caving enthusiasts. About 3 km long, it is one of the longest caves
in Peninsula Malaysia.
- The tunnel of the cave runs from the east to the west covering a distance of about 2km under the limestone hills known as Gunung Tempurung and Gunung Gajah
- It comprises of five huge domes with cielings resembling cocunut shells. Each of these domes has different calcium formations and marble there exist in differing temperatures and water levels.
- These caves are located under the limestone hills and form tunnels that runs from east to west, nearly 1.9km in length.
- Visitors can experience these tours with specific requirements of prior preparation. Certain tours such as the River Adventure Tours require visitors to bring a change of clothes and shoes. Torch lights and safety helmets are available for rent.

Tasik Cermin
Tasik Cermin in Gunung Rapat is a lake that is completely surrounded by limestone hills. So if you want to go to this lake, visitors need to go through a tunnel by walking 30-40 m.
- Once you cross the door of this cave, you will be in another world with the beauty of the lake surrounded by green trees & limestone hills.
- There is a platform that is not too big that is provided for visitors to see the beauty of this mirror lake. Since this lake is surrounded by hills that block the wind, the surface of the water is very calm and not turbulent
- That's why it's called Tasik Cermin because it's as if you're looking at a big mirror with the reflection of limestone hills on the surface of the water.
- The road leading here is also quite dusty due to many quarry trucks & it is not an interesting place in Ipoh which is widely commercialized. Mirror Lake is close to the quarry area so if you go here, please be careful.

A night market in Ipoh Old Town with an ‘uptown’ style concept that houses many stalls that sell items such as clothes, belts, shirts, perfumes and so on.
- The prices here can be said to be cheap and visitors can also bargain with the sellers.

- The selection of vintage items here is not as vibrant as Pasar Karat, but if you are looking for an interesting place in Ipoh at night with a happening atmosphere, this is one of the destinations.
- You can come here starting at 6 pm. Usually around 8.30pm onwards the atmosphere is more lively with visitors & sellers. The Night Market in Ipoh Old Town is open every day & will only be empty during heavy rains.
BAtu Gajah
Kellie's Castle
Kellie’s Castle in Perak’s Batu Gajah near Ipoh combines romance, tragedy and mystery. Young Scotsman William Kellie Smith moved to British Malaya, now Malaysia, made and lost his fortune and left an unfinished mansion to be reclaimed by the jungle. The unfinished, ruined mansion, was built by a Scottish planter named William Kellie-Smith. According to differing accounts, it was either a gift for his wife or a home for his son.
- Although this destination is often associated with horror stories, it has never been an obstacle for tourists to come here to see for themselves the uniqueness of this building structure.
- In terms of flora, it is home to 3,000 species of flowering plants, including three species of Rafflesia, the world’s biggest flower.

As the name suggests, a famous tycoon gifted this lane to one of his concubines over a hundred years ago. While the area used to be rife with vices, today it is teeming with famous Ipoh eateries and coffee shops, cool cafes, and dessert houses. It has also been given a modern makeover by street artists, who have painted walls murals that capture the area’s history. They’re great photo spots, too.
- All shops in the area have been restored in contemporary style, but they still have a touch of the past intact. These are the perfect areas to get clicked and to capture the rustic beauty of the place.
- You will find a lot of cafes, restaurants and even boutique hotels in the area. These cafes are well known for selling some really amazing traditional desserts as well as local coffee, so don’t forget to give that a try.

Kek Look Tong Cave Temple [极乐洞]
A natural attraction that is very popular in Ipoh Old Town because here there is a Buddhist temple in a cave & the concept of a tourist destination here is more or less the same as in Batu Caves.
- The sight of the stalactite/stalagmite structure in the cave here is really impressive & estimated to be thousands of years old.
